Sports Premium and Swimming Competency
The school’s vision for PESS ensures every child has the opportunity to develop their confidence and competence while enjoying being physically active. We aim to enable children to develop into physically literate individuals with the choice to decide which activities they would like to continue participating in as they move through their lives. We also encourage and facilitate a life-long passion of being physically active as well as embedding an understanding of the long term health benefits of physical activity and sport.
We also understand the importance of children being involved in competition and our curriculum will continue to give as many children as possible the opportunity to participate in a variety of competitive sports during their school life. Allowing them to understand what competition feels like, what it is like to be part of a team, and to be able to both win and lose with equal grace.
