Pupil Premium
Niton Primary Pupil Premium Strategy Statement
At Niton Primary School, we believe that all children have the right to an equal chance of success. This means that we will endeavour to provide what a child needs to enable them to achieve the best they can. The support and individual needs of our children will differ.
The Government allocates a grant called Pupil Premium to be used by the school to benefit children who meet a set of criteria. These are: eligibility for Free School Meals (FSM), Looked After Children (LAC) and children whose parent(s) are currently serving in the Armed Forces or in receipt of a child pension from the Ministry of Defence.
We will access and plan for the needs of these children to enable them to access learning to the best of their ability.
We will publish on the school website, details of the type of support we will be offering and details of how the Pupil Premium has been spent in the previous year. However no individual details will be published.
The statement HERE details our school’s use of pupil premium (and recovery premium for the 2021 to 2024 academic year) funding to help improve the attainment of our disadvantaged pupils.
It outlines our pupil premium strategy, how we intend to spend the funding in this academic year and the effect that last year’s spending of pupil premium had within our school.
